​​​​Timothy Gubler

Tim completed his PhD in Business Strategy at the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis. Tim grew up in Utah Valley in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains and attended Brigham Young University where he studied economics. He worked as a licensed electrician and as company manager for Gubler Electric, Inc., a family-run electrical contracting business, before beginning his PhD work at Washington University in 2010. He joined the faculty in the School of Business at the University of California, Riverside in the summer of 2015. In the summer of 2019 Tim joined the faculty at the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business. Tim joined the Organization Science editorial board as a senior editor in January, 2023.

Tim currently lives in Utah with his wife and children. He enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, mountain biking, scuba diving, skiing, working with his hands, reading, and music. Tim has also lived abroad in Taiwan for two years and is conversational in Mandarin Chinese.
